Theory of Change

The goal of this program is to install a rainwater collection system in Mlima Shabaha and Tindigani villages to provide 4,200 people with consistent access to clean water and consequently prevent the spread of water-borne illnesses, including E. coli. This program aims to bring environmentally friendly above ground rainwater collection system by installing two 2,000-liter cisterns in both communities.

Goals

  1. Provide reliable and consistent water access throughout the year;

  2. Reduce the spread of E.coli, parasitic worms & typhoid;

  3. Reduce distance and time to clean water for Tindigani and Mlima Shabaha communities.

Funding

The total cost will be $5,000, including all gutter, tank and labor expenses.
