Social Business & Marketing Intern

Responsibilities of this position include:

Work closely with Executive Director (supervisor) on marketing and sales strategy.
Help develop creative packaging and marketing material for Amka Sasa products.
Conduct comparative research on effective marketing strategies for social businesses
Assist with e-commerce strategy, as needed.
Attend monthly meetings without other Lalafofofo interns and employees and take note of updates on the Women’s Employment Initiative.
Other related activities as mutually agreed upon.

Requirements

Current college student.
Access to reliable internet and laptop/computer.
Excellent oral and written communication skills (in English).
Previous experience with graphic design, illustration or photography required.
Previous marketing/sales experience preferred, but not required.
Commitment to women’s empowerment.
Familiarity with Tanzania and/or the Maasai is a plus.
