Our Vision
Our vision is to see youth in rural Kilimanjaro rise out of extreme poverty, to grow and thrive in their communities.
Our Programs
All Lalafofofo’s programs are operated year-round by our local Tanzanian team who partner with the rural communities we work with. Our programs are consistent with the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. We publish regular newsletters with program updates if you would like to learn more.
Supporting our programs with research, planning, and execution
Thanks to generous grants from Makers4Good and Amped Innovation, this project will install 133 solar home systems and employ 5 locals.
Empowering Maasai girls through education and sisterhood to help them rise out of poverty.
Improving and maintaining the health of young mothers and their children
Providing meals to 1,500 students daily at 3 government primary schools in Hai District in the Kilimanjaro Region.
Employing 20 women previously living in extreme poverty through our Craft Cycle program.
