Lalafofofo-Amka Sasa works on the ground in Tanzania to address the immediate and long-term challenge of extreme poverty within Maasai communities located in rural Kilimanjaro.

Our Approach

Lalafofofo-Amka Sasa’s programs operate year-round in collaboration with our rural partner communities. All programming and projects are consistent with the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. Our vision is to see youth in rural Kilimanjaro rise out of extreme poverty, and to grow and thrive in their communities.

In order to best respond to the immediate and enduring needs of our partner communities, our work is divided into three separate stages: year-round programs, pilot programs and construction projects.
